Dominion’s Business And Professional Women

Dominion executive delegates representing clubs from North and South Island centres met in Wellington on Saturday to discuss projects in connexion with the Federation of Business aud Professional Women's Clubs of the Y.W.C.A. of New Zealand. Advice received from the eleven clubs of the federation indicated that Dominionwide celebrations twill take place on International Day, which falls on the 26th of this month, when an international ceremony will link the New Zealand federation with federations throughout the world. The coming Dominion council meeting to be held at Napier was discussed as well as overseas correspondence received from England, the United States, Australia and Cuba. Business arising out of the Dominion conference held in Christchurch at the end of 1943 was completed, and plans for this year were also outlined. Attending the meeting were Miss M. L. Toulson, Dominion president, Miss E. Harper, Dominion treasurer, Miss E. Fitzgerald, minute secretary, Miss 1 JI. Seaton, corresponding secretary, Miss L. Bishop, Christchurch, and Miss E. Law, national secretary for the Y.W.C.A., exofficio. Rail restrictions prevented a, number of members from personally reporting. . .
