The result was that in every race held in Evans Bay, more than bplf tne held failed to reach the finishing line. Members of the Evans Bay club on Saturday were astounded when the so-called show boat of the keeier race, Kawini. romped bome an easy winner, after leading with comfort throughout the raqp. For t day on end now, a heavy wind has caused important races to bo P o^® 11 , ’ race for the George Cup. which was held over from the previous Sunday because ot the heavy weather, has beeujjostponed till further notice, and the Levin Cup for 14footers, which had to be abandoned jesterday, will be held in conjunction with the Port Nicholson club’s regatta next Saturday.
