Found guilty of robbery 3L" U v on October 6, two United States Naty seamen have been sentenced by au American general courtmartial to be reduced to the rating of apprentice seamen, to be confined for two years and then to be dishonourably discharged from the naval service. Accused were Koger E Halstead, seaman, second class, and Matthew V. Halloran, seaman, second class. They were charged with robbing Frank A. Mens, of Drury, of a pocket watch in Symonds Street. The reconl ot the proceedings stated that the entire court joined in the reeomiijeiiuatjiju oclemency for Halloran, and tivo member* of the court recommended clemency tor Halstead.
