Farewell Party At The Home Of Mrs. J. A. Doctor
Executive committee members of the Victoria League in Wellington were the guests of their president, Mrs. J. A. Doctor, on Saturday at a farewell morning tea for Mrs. Hugh Brown, a committee member who is leaving Wellington in the near future to live in Auckland. The party was held at Mrs. Doctor’s home, Oban Street, Highland Park.' , ~ ' 'The president spoke of Mrs. Browns energetic enthusiasm in connexion with all matters* relating to league activities, and on behalf of fellow members said how much she would 'be missed by the committee. Mrs. Brown, in reply, said she hoped to continue Victoria League work in Auckland and to pay visits to the Wellington branch as often as possible. She was accorded musical honours and presented with a pestel-shaded spray of flowers. Morning tea was served in the . dining-room, where spring flowers' and tulips made an attractive table setting. •
