HEAVY RAIN STORM IN WANGANUI
Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, September 26. Heafy rain and strong winds which at times reached gale force swept over Wanganui and district on Friday night and again yesterday morning, making it the wettest election day in Wanganui for more than 30 years. River.* and creeks along the West Coast reached flood level and low-lying areas carried much surface water. The weather showed an improvement to day and the flood waters have receded. So far no serious damage has beeu reported.
