AMERICAN RAIDS IN SOLOMONS
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 7. A United Stales Navy Department communique says: “Tu the South lacme on March 5. American aircraft bombed enemy installations in Viru harbour, on the southern coast of New Georgia. On Friday night Japanese planes raided the United States positions on Tulngi Island. Two men were killed. "Early in the morning ot Saturday American planes bombed anil straled the positions at Mumia, on New Georgia Island. The results have not been reported During the morning Liberators bombed' and started tires in the enemyheld areas at Kahili. Bum, and Ballale, in the Shortland Island area.
