TRAIN SERVICES
Return To Normal With the resumption of running on the Wellington-Johnsonville line today, train services will return to normal after the disruptions caused by storm damage. Multiple - unit 40-ton locomotives made four trips to Paekakariki and back, transhipping passengers, on Saturday to maintain the express service on the Wellington-Auckland line, because it was not considered desirable for heavy locomotives to pass over the damaged section between Pliinmerton and Paekakariki, but normal conditions were operating yesterday.
