REPATRIATION SCHEME IN AUSTRALIA

MELBOURNE. July 26. Details of a repatriation scheme fur members of the A.I.F. after their return from abroad were announced by the Minister of the Army, Mr. Spender, today.

Married men will receive £3 a week, plus allowances for children with a maximum of £4/2/6. Single men will receive £2/2/- weekly. The amounts will be payable for a period not exceeding three months or till suitable work is found for the men, and will include war pensions. The tools of trade necessary for a man to accept a job will be provided up to the value of £lO. An army . educational scheme will provide post-war training in whatever trade or, profession . the men may choose.
