Anglo-Soviet Resolve (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 25. In a broadcast in German from Moscow on July 22. a Russian commentator said of the Anglo-Soviet Paet, while also drawing attention to the association of Britain with the United States: “The combination of the world fills German Fascism with a premonition of . its collapse.” ■ “It is understandable,” he said, that in its despair Fascism now seeks to present this combination as a socalled Bolshevist conspiracy. But the pact itself gives the lie to this interpretation. The Soviet Union and England wage this war together. They have bound themselves not to' embark upon any separate negotiations or to conclude a separate peace. This means that all questions of peace or war will find a common settlement, and it cannot be very well assumed that England has the intention of bolshevising Europe. Finally, nobody in the Soviet Union regards it as either possible or desirable to export Communism at the point of the bayonet.” After referring to the quislings of Europe as puppets of Fascism, the broadcaster recalled a conversation which the American newspaper publisher Mr. Roy Howard had with MStalin, In which M. Stalin said: “If you think the Soviet people itself wishes to change the face of neighbouring States, and, what is more, to do it by force, you are making a great mistake. Export of the revolution —that is nonsense.” “Only Hitler Is an exporter of this violent and people-destroying regime,” the broadcaster concluded. “Of this hateful export, ‘made in Germany,’ England, the Soviet and the people of Europe are going to make an end, and then the people will take destiny In tlieir own bands.”
