Citizens’ Candidates AU Successful NO SEAT FOR LABOUR The 13 Citizens’ candidates for election to the Wellington-Hospital Board were all successful. Labour failed to retain a seat. As at the last election. Mrs. Gilmer topped the poll, her vote being 19,831, compared with 23,900 last time. Mr. Castle was again second, with 19,55 t votes, compared with 22,746 last time. New members of the board will be Messrs. Brown, Toogood, Cederholtu and O’Shea, and Miss Cable. Previous members, who stood for re-election but failed, are Messrs. Glover, Atkinson and Croskery, and Mrs. Semple. Fourteenth on the list, heading the Labour candidates, was Mr. Combs, M.P., with 12,255 votes, 2561 fewer than the last successful candidate. Mrs. Semple, who at the last election was third with 22,011 votes, was fifteenth with 11,724.
