GENEROUS DONORS

A.N.A. Club Helped

The executive of the Army, Navy and Air Force Club thanks those wellwishers who responded so promptly to Hie call for radiators. They have already proved their value in warming the rooms and adding to the cheerful atmosphere. Another generous donor gave a useful writing-desk aud chair, which have been made good use of by (he men of the forces and are greatly appreciated. The club is as popular as ever, and the cafeteria and lounge are used to capacity every day ami evening. Assisting the executive during the week were members of the Junior Navy League, A.N.A. Helpers, Air Force Relations members, and the A.N.A. Girls’ Auxiliary. Hampers were received from the Masterton Women’s Club (per Mrs. Donald James) ; Rangitumaji branch of the W.D.F.U. ; Dannevirke Patriotic Society (per Mrs. Fraser) ; and the Otaki-Te Horo W.D.F.U.

The Friday and Saturday night dances were crowded, those in charge being Misses Denise Puttick, Oriel Pollock, Dinah Sloman and Nola Benge.
