Dominion Representative
With the concurrence of the New Zealand Government, Sir Alexander Roberts, Wellington, has been appointed by the Ministry of Shipping in the United Kingdom as its representative iu New Zealand. Sir Alexander’s functions will be of an advisory character, the object being to assist in securing the best and most economic use of the shipping tonnage available. He will deal only with ships over which the Ministry of Shipping exercises control and not with ships registered in New Zealand. The appointment is honorary. ■ Similar appointments have been made iu Canada, the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Union of South Africa.
