KILTED SOLDIERS

Issue To Company Of Scottish Regiment

A Coy. (AA’gtn) N.Z. Scottish Regiment which up to now has been distinguished in uniform only by their Glengarries, have now been issued with kilts of the same tartan as worn by the Black AVatch to which the regiment is allied. The original khaki tunics will still be worn, but will be altered to suit requirements. To protect the skirt during wet weather or on manoeuvres, a khaki apron has been issued. The dark green and black of the tartan is relieved by the white sporran of the Black AVatch with its five short black tassels. Khaki stocking tops, and white spats complete the uniform which will probably be worn .by the Company when it enters camp on Alarch IS to carry out manoeuvres with C Company and the Auckland Companies. Tliis will be the first time the complete regiment has taken the field.
