WOMEN'S INSTITUTE AT PARAPARAUMU
There was a good attendance at the Paraparaumu Women’s Institute’s recent meeting, over which Airs. Hadfield presided. Nominations were received for president and committee for the coming year. Aliss Cameron gave an interesting talk on the evacuation of London and her experiences in forming emergency hospitals in the country for <■'acuated expectant mothers. Aliss ( nirksoii won a competition. Miss Elsie Campbell. Auckland. a social worker for 35 years, died a few lays ago. After the influenza epidemic in 1918 she was one of a committee which organized a club for working women and she did mission work imong the poor of Auckland.
