OBITUARY
Mrs. Helen Pearce The death of Mrs. Helen Pearce, New Plymouth, at the age of 82, recalls early days when as a child she landed with her parents by surf boat at New Plymouth. Later, ou a farm at Oaku.-a, the family lived al first in a rtiupo whare. They had to tramp through Gun and fell) to their home, fording the rivers en route. Her husband fought in the Maori Wtrr and the family had to seek refuge lit New Plymouth, Airs. V. Guy, Feilding, is a daughter.
