CERTIFICATES PRESENTED

22 Nurses Complete Training Twenty-two nurses who have completed their course of training at the Wellington Public Hospital were presented with medals and certificates of proficiency at a ceremony in the Nurses’ Home of the hospital lastnight. Mr. F. Castle, chairman of the hospital board, presided and made the presentations. Others present included Miss AL I. Lambic, Director of

Nursing, Dr. J. Cairney. Acting-Super-iiiteiident of the hospital, members of the hospital board, Miss Clark, lady superintendent, parents and friends of the successful nurses, and members of the staff and trainees.

Aliss Lambic congratulated the nurses who had completed their training. Dr. Cairney said it was the aim of the hospital to turn out nurses who were well trained, and who had a proper understanding and perspective of their work.

Tributes were paid to Sister Milne, who had tutored the nurses, and to Miss Clarke and Dr. Cairney, by one of the nurses.

There were two solos and the evening concluded with supper. Those who received medals and certificates were Nurses Abbott, Crookenden, Davies, M. Edwards, Hendry, Jensen, Jarvis, Long, .Murray, Naughton, Nicholson, Nitiimo, O’Deff. Pearce, Pettitt, Rogers, Sharp, Simmons,-Staples, Tanner. Wiggins and P. Wright.
