Mangaweka Ewe Fair

A total clearance was effected yesterday at the Maligaweka ewe fair, which was attended by buyers from practically all over the North Island. The demand for the good lines of five-year ewes wa«s sustained throughout the sale. Waikato buyers were down in strong force and secured the bulk of the varding. Taranaki, Manawatu and the Lower Kangitikci were also strongly represented. Mr. F. Healey topped the live-year ewes at 23 3. and Mr. Me hay Turnbull received 23/1. In the two-tooth section competition wins brisk throughout, and .Mr. Healey again topped the market with an exceptional Hue 01. 230, which made'3s/-. , . - n The Hallways Department had a full snpplv of trucks on hand, exibling tue trucking o£ the esheep while the sale was in progress.
