WANGANUI, February 10. A yarding uf 4000 mixed age ewes and 2(H) Romney and Soutud.iwu rams was offered at the second Forded sheep tair or the season. A good attendance of included mauy from Taranaki and Rangilikei districts. , _ The ewes on the whole were not up to the quality of the first ewe fair, but almost a total clearance was made under the*' hammer. Prices of young ewe« were firm on recent salcr?, but the older ewes showed a decline. Good iwo-tooth ewes made ”9-- to 32/-. four-tooth to Lb/9, tour and .six-tooth to 25/-. tive-year with worn mouths, 16/6 to IS./-; fnitening ewes, 8 • to 12/-, wether Jambs. 9/6 to 12/1. and ewe lambs 17/4. . . The Southdown rams met with an excellent sale, but Thu Rumneya were haro to quit. Two stud Southdown rants on account of X. Hughe*, realized 3.gms. and l«sAgns., and the flock Southdown rams *old on his account averaged llJgns. Southdown rams on account of J. Biair and Son* made s!gns. to lOgn*.: on account of D. Henderson, Fordell, bgns. to Suns.- E. Darby*hire, Maxwell, .tAgns. to" 6gns.; and A. Duncan, Fordell, s}gns. to Ggns.
