TRANSPORT CLASSES
A Red Cross Activity In Havelock North
Instruction has begun with the women’s transport section of the Havelock North Sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society, 29 women attending the first class. The drill was conducted by Mr. R. Tapper, and practical instruction in the changing of tyres was given by Messrs. J. J. Nimon and Estaugh. The class was measured for uniforms.
The class, which is being conducted in Napier by the Automobile Association (Hawke’s Bay) is progressing well, the pupils having received instruction in the taking down of a motor engine. They will next receive tuition in the component parts and the reassembling of portion of the engine.
