BACHELOR OF SCIENCE AT 19 YEARS
Miss Marion Malcolm, daughter of Canon and Mrs, D. B. Malcolm, Hawera, has achieved distinction by gaining her B.Sc. degree at the age of 19 years. She studied at Victoria College, and during 1938 and 1939 lived in Kelburn while Canon Malcolm was organizer for the Anglican Cathedral Fund.
Another I-lawera girl, Beryl Marsh, also achieved a similar distinction.
