On the eve of the formation of a women’s auxiliary to the Air Force in New Zealand, it is interesting to learn of the excellent work done by this auxiliary in South Africa. The members are volunteers ami do a very great deal of work of varied kinds and are enrolled for full-time service for the duralion of the war. Their duties range over <r wide field —dispatch riding, transport driving, packing and mending of parachutes, store and canteen work. Recent papers from abroad report their great usefulness and a recent illustration shows a squadron, very smart in appearance, waiting for inspection.
