GENEROUS HAMPERS
Greatly Appreciated By A.N.A. Club A number of generous hampers vvere received by the A.N.A. Club in Weilington during the week and assisted greatly in catering arrangements. The club gratefully acknowledges these gifts from the Wanganui branch of the Air Force Relations (per Mrs. R. Gif-ford-Moore), Makara Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, Mrs. E. Riddiford and Martinborough 'Women’s Patriotic Committee. Men of the Army, Navy and Air Force made full use of the cafeteria at the club during the week, the light meals and teas that are always available, being much appreciated. Both Friday and Saturday nights’ dances were crow’ded. Miss Talmai Richardson and Mrs. Young were in charge of dancing on Friday and Miss Patricia Gledhill and Miss Denise Puttick on Saturday. . , The executive were assisted during the week and at the weekend by members of the Navy League, New Zealand Founders* Society, Air Force Relations and a number of other citizens.
