TWO NAZI VOICES
Possible Peace Offensive LONDON, December 26. German broadcasts to Britain are again asking why the British people should go on with the war. At the same time the German people are being told frequently that the war will be long and that the conquest of Britain is an undertaking of some magnitude. ’ These contrasting voices of the German propaganda machine are taken by some commentators as a sign that Herr Hitler is .still hopng to get out of his predicament by a peace offensive rather than an invasion. The sort ot peace Hitler has in mind is one which will leave him still dominating the countries he has overrun in Europe.
