WEDDING

Duffy—Benton A pretty wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church, Featherston, recently when Dawn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Stanley Benton, Featherston, was niarried to John Wilfred; second son of Mi', and Mrs. Dully. Lower Hutt. The Rev. R. S. Keenan officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of cream english moire taffeta with fitting bodice, long sleeves, and high neckline finished with lily of the valley. Her Houlton lace veil was lent by an aunt and she carried a bouquet of lily of the valley and roses. The three bridesmaids, Miss Nancy Jensen (chief), Wellington, Miss Billie Newncs, Masterton, and Miss Joyce Graham, Featherston, wore frocks of corded taffeta will) tight, fitting bodices and full skirts. Darker velvet roses were worn in their hair and they carried bouquets in rose and blue tones. Mr. Keverne Duffy was best man and Messrs. L. Duffy and Manncl Benton were groomsmen. Miss E. Till sang a solo during the signing of tiie register. The reception was held at the South Featherston Hall, which had been decorated by friends of the bride. Mrs. Benton received the guests wearing a frock of teal blue, hat to tone and smart fur fabric coat. She was assisted by Mrs. Duffy, in floral cyclamen. A cyclamen frock and hat with fur cape were worn by the bride for travelling.
