SOCIAL SECURITY BALL
Popularity Of First Annual Event
One of this season’s many successful staff events in Wellington was the first annual ball of the newly-formed Social Security Department which was held recently in St. Francis' Hall. Gay flags and attractive posters made a colourful background for the many dancers who forgot the cares of office routine in the cheery atmosphere which prevailed. ' . The committee responsible for the arrangements of the ball comprised: MLsses A. Eaton, J. Emerson, D. Lodge, Messrs. F. H. Skinner (secretary), A. A. Falunty (treasurer), W. E. Barker and N. A. Hudson.
