Miss Bertha Forbes and Miss Jessie Forbes, Crystal Brook, Cheviot, have returned home from Wellington. Mrs. G. A. Hatrick, who has been, visiting Suva, has returned to Wanganui. Miss Nancy Ackland, Wellington, will arrive at Christchurch on Saturday morning to be bridesmaid at the wedding of Miss Yvonne Levvey and Mr. Charles Purchase. She will return to Wellington on Sunday and will leave shortly after for a visit to Vancouver. Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Mpcfarlane, Mount Paul, Waiau, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Colin Deans, Masterton, and will also stay with Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Nolan. Wairoa, before returning to Canterbury. Miss Rosalind Arkwright (Marton) will be a visitor to Christchurch for the Grand National gaieties. She will be the guest of Miss Sheila Macdonald, Fendaltou. Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Whitlock, Wanganui, left Wellington yesterday by the Maunganui for the Islands cruise. Palmerston North visitors to Wellington include Mrs. E. Linklater and Mrs. Al Draper. Miss C. Gibson, Marton, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs. G. H. Killeen, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. L. Ritehie and Mrs. H. J. McKay, are Hastings visitors to Wellington. Mrs. Jack Parr, Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. L. H. Hind, Karori, Wellington, is now visiting Mrs. I. L. M. Cooper, Banks Peninsula. Mrs. Elsie Holl, England, who has been in New Zealand for nine months, visiting her sister, Mrs. John Peacock, Wellington, and other relatives, will return to England early this month. Mrs. John Graham, Feilding, will leave Auckland this week for the United States. Mrs. F. C. Johnstone, Waitetuna, has returned from a visit to Wellington and the Chateau Tongariro. Mr. and. Mrs. Stanly Benton and their son Edinon, are touring the North Island and will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. P. Benton during their stay in Auckland. Mrs. M. Hyde, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. H. C. Gregory, Napier.
