Sixtieth Annual Meeting Dominion Special Service FKTLDING. July 29 Mr. R. J. Harper presided at the sixtieth annual meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club liwt night. Moving the adoption of tbe report and bain nee-sheet, he said that the profit of £1157, together with the fact that £lB9B had been written off in depreciation during the year, made the term one of distinct success to the dub. Costs had risen considerably during the period under review, but despite this tjie club’s indebtedness to the bank had been reduced to £716. while the. assets stood at £29,261. Totalizator tax paid in the year totalled more than £BB-19, tie club being twelfth on the list of clubs in New Zealand in respect of such tax, and eleventh in respect of stakes paid. The report was adopted and officers elected as follows: [’reddest. Mr E. T McLean: vice-president. Mr N. J. Short : hon. treasnirer. Mr. W. Shannon; com millee, Messrs. H. S. Cornfont, J. Gra ham. W. G. Fry and 1,. Gorton. Tributes were paid to the work of the retiring president. Mr. Harper, several speakers stating that he had done more than anyone to further the interests of the club.
