St. Stephen’s Women’s Association For the annual meeting of St. Stephen’s Women’s Association, the Bible class hall was fragrant with yellow jonquils, daphne and iceland poppies. Mrs. Gibb sang, accompanied by Mrs. Wells. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames, J. Lopdell, Linton, G. Littlejohn, A. Marshall. Lockwood, H. W. Kersley, and F. McDonald. The election of officers resulted as follow?;- —President, Mrs. J. B. McCallum (re-elected);' secretary, Mrs. A. Marshall (re-elected) ; treasurer, Mrs. O. W. Mrs.-W. Hendry, Bridge Street, Lower Hutt, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. ■Douglas, Waipawa. Miss Honor Fry, daughter of the Rev. H. E. K; Fry and Mrs. Fry, : the' Vicarage, Lower Hutt, who is a‘ student at the College of Physical Education, Chelsea. London, has.', according to a cable received by her parents, passed her finals in anatomy and physiology. After a further year’s training she intends to practise her profession in New Zealand.
Petone U.S.A. Dance. There was a large attendance at the Petone Working Men’s Club on Thursday night, when the Returned Soldiers’ Association held a successful'dance. Mr. O.
