BRIDGE PARTY
A very enjoyable evening was spent recently, at the home of Mrs. L. A. Chapman, Northland, Wellington, when a bridge party in honour of Mrs. Edward Johnson, New Guinea, was held. Mrs. Johnson is the guest of Mrs. Chapman. The rooms were tastefully decorated with early spring flowers, and the tables cosily arranged. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Veitch, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Tustin, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Johnstone ,and the Misses McKechnie (Dunedin).
Y.M.C.A. Ladies' Auxiliary
A very pleasant afternoon was spent when members of the Wellington Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary met yesterday in the association rooms. There was a very good attendance and Mrs. R. S. Maunder presided. Arrangements were completed for the jumble sale to be held on July 15 in St. Thomas’s Hall, Newtown. Mrs. H. S. Adams consented to act as assistant secretary to the auxiliary. During the afternoon a dainty tea was served.
