The engagement is announced of Marjory, younger daughter of Mr. Edmund Anscombe, Oriental Bay, and the late Mrs. Anscombe, to James Malcolm, only son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bennie, # * * SAVAGE—CAMPBELL. The engagement is announced of Eileen, only daughter of Mr. Percy Campbell, Feilding, to John Joseph, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Savage, Innisfallen, Solway, Masterton. Mount Street, Wellington.

Pre-Wedding Parties

A very happy dance was held recently at the Titirhi Bay Golf Club in honoui of two members, Miss Margaret Armers and Mr. Neville Parker, whose marriagewill take place on Saturday afternoon During the evening a handsome chiming clock was presented to the guests of honour. The bride-to-be has been the guest at ir number of parties recently, and has been the recipient of many attractive and useful gifts. Among those to en tertain her have been Misses Mollie, Trixie and June Hargreaves, Deris Yellowlees. Celia Lntzky, Belly Small and Mrs. W. J. Leask. To-day Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Moses, Mayfair Flirts, are giving a cocktail party in her honoui.
