STORE BURGLED AT WHAKATANE
Safe Containing' £l5O To £2OO Stolen By Telegraph—Press Association. Wliakatane. May 9. Burglars entered the general store of Hie Farmers’ Trading Company, Main Street, Wliakatane, some time between closing time on Saturday and the resumption of business this morning and removed bodily a safe containing the week-end takings, estimated at betwe<n £l5O mid £2OO. The firms’ books are also missing. Entrance was effected by forcing the back door. Apparently nothing else in. the shop was taken ami there was uc sign of a disturbance. “
