Horse-Trainer Fined £25

By Telegraph—Press Association. Hawera, May 9. Richard Stanley Bagby, horse trainer, Auckland, pleaded guilty and was fined £25 by Justices of the Peace on a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a car at Hawera. His licence was cancelled for a year. Bagby was arrested at midnight on Thursday but was remanded oil Friday until this morning. It was stated that Bagby was seen driving a car from side to side of Glover Road. The police gave chase and Bagby, who was travelling between 40 to 50 miles an hour, was arrested at the railway station, where he hud stopped.
