For the week ended yesterday, 26 cases of infectious disease and tw e deaths from tuberculosis were, reported to tiie Wellington office of the Health Department. In the central Wellington area there were five cases of diphtheria, three of scarlet fever, 16 of tuberculosis, two of erysipelas and one of penumonic influenza. In Nelson-Marlborough, four cases of scarlet fever and one case of poliomyelitis (paralysed) were reported.
