Davis Cup Matches London, May 8. Results of yesterday’s play in the Davis Cup matches were:— " At Athens, Belgium eliminated Greece. A. Lacroix and L. de Borman (Belgium) beat L. A. Stalios and Michailidis (Greece), 6-2, 6-1, 6-1. At Scheveningen, T. Hughan and H. Van Swot (Holland) beat Y. Petra and Bolelli (France), 6-8, 1-6, 6-1, 7-5, 6-2. MATCH BREAKS UP IN CONFUSION Zagreb, May 8. The Davis Cup tie between Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia broke up in confusion after F. Puncec (Yugoslavia) had beaten R. Menzel (Czechoslovakia), 3-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-2. D. Mitic (Yugoslavia) was leading M. Cejnar (Czechoslovakia), 3-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 2-1, when the Czech walked off the court under the general agreement to cease play at 7 p.m., which Yugoslavia does not recognise. Thereupon Yugoslavia was declared the winner. The crowd was indignant. HURLINGHAM FINALS London, May 8. In the finals of the Hurlingham tennis tournament results were:— Women's singles: Miss M. Lumb (Britain) beat Miss N. Wynne (Australia), 6-3, 6-2. Women’s doubles: Misses N. Wynne and T. Coyne (Australia) beat Misses K. Stammers and J. Ingram (Britain), 6-4, 6-3.
