UNFOUNDED RUMOUR
Closing Of Petone Police Station The rumour that it is intended to do away with the police station at Petone is absolutely unfounded, according to advice received by the town clerk, Mr. H. Firth, from the Commissioner of Police, Mr. D. J. Cummings. The commissioner stated that his department was only waiting to get a suitable section to build a new station at Petone.
