Committee MR. MACDUFF WITHDRAWS RESIGNATION A meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association was held last night, the deputychairman, Mr. A. M. Pinkerton, presiding. A letter was received from Mr. J. L. Mac Duff withdrawing his resignation from the committee. He was then unanimously asked to resume the position of chairman, which he had occupied for five years. He did so and conducted the meeting as chairman from then to the end. It was agreed to postpone a proposed art union until the opening of next season, when, it was thought, there would probably be mor® enthusiasm among players. It was considered inadvisable to hold an art union so near the end of tbe season, when many clubs were considering closing down for the winter months. For the champion of champion tournament it was agreed that clubs should be allowed to make a club entry before 5 p.m. on Monday, when entries closed, but that the name of the player must be provided not later than 1 p.m. next Saturday.
