MEASLES EPIDEMIC IN VICTORIA
Health Commission’s Prediction Melbourne, March, 24. Referring to the reported prevalence of measles in New Zealand, the chairman of the Health Commission, Dr. Featonby, said that a measles epidemic with many deaths was expected in Victoria. Dr. Featonby said that Victoria’s last measles epidemic, when there were 200 deaths, was in 1020. There had been no ease in Victoria for more than a year, and consequently thousands of children were not immune.
