ACTION IN MEXICO
Profound Anxiety Of British I Oil Interests 1 (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, March 23. Information was sought in the House of Commons regarding the representations made to the Mexican Government concerning the treatment' of British interests in Mexican oilfields. In reply, Mr. R. A. Butler, Foreign Under-Secretary, said that the British Minister officially drew the attention of the Mexican Government to tlie profound anxiety of the British Government at the probable consequences to established British interests as a result of the verdict of the Mexican Supreme Court. The British Government, which bad informed the Mexican Government that it reserved its full rights in the matter, was now examining the situation resulting from the expropriation decree, Mr. Butler said.
