POLICE TRANSFERS

Changes To Operate Shortly

An announcement by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. D- J. Cummings, was made yesterday concerning transfers in the police force which will come into operation shortly. Following are changes which will be made: — Sergeant G. F. Bonisch, transferred from Port Ahuriri to charge of Pahiatua station; Sergeant H. H. Russell, from Taranaki Street station, "Wellington, to change of "Westport station; Sergeant M. Farrell, from Wellington to Hamilton.

Constables transferred to take up duty as acting sergeants:—Constables R. Audlej’, Picton; P. E. Alsop, Palmerston North; G. S. Norris, Picton; and J O’Callaghan, Tokomaru Bay, transferred to Wellington; Constables W. R- Miller, Mangonui, and .1. R. Corston, Rawene, transferred to Auckland; and Constable E. A. Gatehouse, Waitahuna, transferred to Christchurch.
