Wardlaw —Barron The wedding was solemnised by the Rev. J. C. Lopdell at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Lower Hutt, recently, of Joyce Eleanor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 11. S. Barron, and the Rev. Andrew Wardlaw, son of Mr. and Airs. J. Wardlaw. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of self-figured oyster satin, made with long, fitting sleeves pointed over the wrist. The bodice was V-shaped, and bodice and skirt were gathered into a wide, shaped band. The tulle veil was caught to the head with a wreath of orange-blossom and a bandeau of pleated tulle, and formed a train over the train of satin which fell from the shoulders of her frock. She carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Nancy Lambert and Miss Patricia Barron, sister of the bride, wore frocks of coronation-gold taffetas made with full tight-fitting bodices and full skirts and short puff sleeves, the bodices being finished with brown velvet posies which matched their brown velvet shoes. They wore Mary Stuart headdresses and shoulder veils to tone. Their bouquets were of flowers of matching shades. Mr. A. Bascher was the best man, and Mr. I. Barron, groomsman. The church was decorated with flowers' by friends of the bride. A reception was held at the Horticultural Hall, where Mr. and Mrs. Barron received a large number of guests. Mrs. Barron wore an ensemble of grey lace and a small black hat with a veil, her posy being petunia-shaded. Mrs. Wardlaw, the bridegroom’s mother, was in a black crepe de chine frock relieved with green, and a black hat. When the Rev. Andrew Wardlaw and Mrs. Wardlaw left for the north. Mrs. Wardlaw wore a ease blue ensemble with matching hat and navy blue accessories.
