Ready When Wanted By Britain Ottawa, March 21. The Defence Department reveals that 800 factories are ready to turn out munitions and kindred war supplies. The arrangements guarantee conversion at the plants within 48 hours, and for a national inventory of foodstuffs, clothing, and skilled labour to be completed. The moment Britain, (feeds munitions Canada can start turning them out. Measures have been prepared to control supplies of nickel, copper, and .other metals to the Empire only on a graded scale of compensation to pre-' vent profiteering. The alternative will be expropriation of the plants by the Government.
