BRITISH ATTITUDE
Important Statement To-morrow (British Official Wirejess.). Rugby, March 21. The Prime Minister will make an important statement on the Go'rernment’s .policy with respect to the international situation on Thursday. Questioned in the House of ComXnons on the Government’s attitude to the proposal by the Russian Foreign that a conference of major Powers be held to discuss the German annexation of Austria, Mr. Chamberlain said that .the Government was giving consideration to the proposal. He was not, however, prepared to anticipate his general statement with regard to issues arising from the present situation. A special meeting of Cabinet has been summoned for to-morrow. It is believed it is to discuss the situation of Czechoslovakia and Spain. In addition, the ordinary weekly Cabinet meeting will be held on Wednesday.
