FAILURE TO STOP FOR FIRE SIREN
Magistrate’s Warning Hastings, March 22. Notice of his intention to infliet heavier fines where motorists failed to stop when lines iu cases where motorists failed to stop when they heard tho fire siren was given by Mr. J. Miller, S.M.. in the Magistrates’ Court, Hastings, to-day. Mr. Miller was hearing a case in which Guy Nettervillc Barron was charged with failing to stop. "Defendant was driving along in front of the fire engine very .slowly and making no attempt to give way,” 'said the borough inspector, Mr. D. Mann. Ho considered that sufficient warning had been given.
"In future 1 will inflict heavier penalties,” said Mr. Miller, fining Barron 10/and costs.
