Rt. Rev. Dr. John Barry

Sydney, March 22. Tice death has occurred of Dr. John Barry, Roman. Catholic Bishop of Goulburn, aged 63 years.
The Rt. Rev. John Barry, D.D., was born on June 18, 1875, at Freemount, Ireland. He was educated at Colman’s College Fermoy, and St. Patrick’s, Mnynooth, and was ordained priest in 1599. He was assistant priest at Dandenong and St. Kilda, pastor nt Mansfield from 1907 to 1912 and at Balaclava from 1912 to 1917. He then became administrator of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne, holding that charge until 1924. when he was appointed Bishop of Goulburn.
