SUDETEN GERMANS

Numerous Meetings In Czechoslovakia

(Received March 22, 8.30 p.m.)

Prague, March 22.

'There have been numerous meetings of Sudeten Germans, at which -outspoken speeches wqre made eulogising Germany as a guarantee for the attainment of autonomy, and other indications of restlessness.

The German social democrats, although supporting the Government, demanded special relief for the distressed Sudeten areas and further guarantees for the school and labour questions. The German Catholics appointed a committee to negotiate with the Government, claiming legal regulation of Czech and German relations.

The newspaper “Ceskoslovo” declares that the Sudeten Germans are blackmailing the frontier districts, threatening the population with a “day of judgment” unless they join the Henlein Party.
