WATERSIDERS’ DEATH

Coroner’s Comment By Telegraph—Press Association. Whangarei, March 12. “I desire to bring to the notice of the Waterside Workers’ Union the grave risk attendant on life and limb by employing inexperienced men in key positions in discharging cargo, especially of an awkward nature,” said Mr. H. C. Hepiphill, coroner, at an inquest into the death of Albert Arthur Higgins, who died on March 2 as the result of an accident during the unloading of the Gabriella. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
