PLUNKET SOCIETY
Wellington Branch Meets The monthly meeting of the Wellington branch of the Plunket Society was held at 18 Kent Terrace recently and was presided over by the president, Airs. H. Jowett. The meeting opened with a motion of condolence with Lady Victoria Braithwaite on the tragic loss of her son and daughter-in-law, Lord and Lady Plunket. The members showed their sympathy by standing in silence. Airs. Claude AVestou was welcomed back to the committee. The resignation of Airs, W. G. Hewson, on account of leaving New Zealand, was received with regret, the committee placing on record its appreciation of her enthusiastic help while a member of the committee. It was reported that a bridge party in aid of funds for the Aliss Pattrick Alemorlal Fund would be held at Kirkcaldie’s on the night of Alarch 30. The nurses extended their sincere appreciation to all who had so generously motored them to long-distance eases and also thanked those who had sent gifts.
