FAMILY UNABLE TO FIND HOME
Forced To Camp In Tent And Trailer
SHORTAGE OF HOUSES IN
AUCKLAND
Dominion Special Service.
Auckland, December 16.
A striking illustration of *the difficulty being found by a number of people in Auckland to secure houses is provided by the case of a Wellington man and his family, who, for the last three weeks, have been forced to live at Western Springs motor camp. The a waterside worker, was transferred through the wharf bureau system to Auckland, and, for the three weeks he has been here, he has been trying to find a land-owner who would not mind having his family, which includes four children, in his house. So far he has been unable to find one house suitable for his purposes, and, although his youngest child, an infant, has suffered from the comparative exposure of living in a tent and trailer, he did not, know to-day how long his enforced camping would have to continue. .
