CHURCH PARADE
4 Wellington Returned Soldiers Tlie annual church parade of the AA’ellington Returned Soldiers’ Association was held in the Cambridge Terrace Congregational Church last night. The sermon was preached by the Rev. A. Muriel. 8.A., who took for his subject the words of St. Paul, “Vi ho shall separate us from the love of Christ?” Mr. Muriel said he wanted to say something positive and constructive touched with the spirit of “sweet reasonableness.” The words were still surely true, “Blessed are the peacemakers”; not peacemakers at any price, but makers of peace on a permanent basis, a peace on which we could think fairly, love widely, witness humbly and build bravely. This was the purpose of his address —to encourage a quest for peace and goodwill, to build up on a basis that would stand tlie strain and stress of any and many a storm. An address was given by Lieut.-Col-onel A. Cowles. A’.D.. who. spoke on “The 8.5. A.. its aims and objects.” and (lie Scripture was read by Colonel C. H. AVeston. D.S.O.
