MANAWATU TROTS
Nominations for all races at the Manawatu Trotting Club’s autumn meeting, to be held at Awapuni Racecourse, Palmerston North, on April 17, will close with the secretary. Mr. A. H. Manson, Box 412. Palmerston North, on Wednesday at S p.m. The stakes for this meeting have been considerably increased from last year, and as the programme has been drawn so as to give owners the opportunity of racing their horses in two races a liberal response from owners is all that is required to make the fixture a successful one as a wind-up to the North Island West Coast trotting circuit. Two valuable trophies have been donated, a silver tea and coffee service for the Cup Handicap and a canteen of cutlery for the bigj trotters’ race. Free stabling is providedbv the club at the showgrounds, where there is first-class accommodation for! horses, with accommodation for those in charge close handy.
